Nabni is a project that seeks to further the Building for Peace approach, which
aims to support locally led reconstruction processes in conflict-impacted
communities in the MENA region. Funded by BMZ through KfW, Nabni finances
and supports local civil society organisations in leading processes and projects
that aim to build or rehabilitate physical or social infrastructure, strengthen
governance, improve access to essential services, support or create livelihoods
opportunities, or reinforce social ties at the local level.
Managed by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and based in Amman,
Jordan, Nabni operates through three pillars: (1) financing and partnerships, (2)
technical assistance and capacity strengthening, and (3) knowledge sharing.
The Nabni TAP aims to strengthen local partners’ capacities to (1) effectively
implement Nabni-funded projects in line with KfW and Nabni SOPs, and (2)
support their long-term organisational growth. TAP actions may be operational or
strategic, depending on priorities. TAPs are developed based on organisational
capacity assessments by Nabni and lead grantees, Nabni’s observations during
partnership phases, and partners’ own development priorities.
While Nabni has conducted capacity assessments in Iraq and Yemen, additional
specialised consultancy (company or sole trader) support is needed to finalise
TAPs, ensuring coherence, value for money, and alignment with best practices.
No margin of preference is applied; the Bid is open to all eligible Bidders.
