Empowervan is looking for a passionate and dedicated **Field Volunteer** to join our team on the ground in Athens. Our mission is to prevent violence and empower displaced women through movement and self-defense. We operate by the refugee camps near Athens, where we drive to on a weekly basis and teach Empowerment Self Defense courses.

We are looking for a passionate female person to join our team in Athens, as a sport volunteer.

**We are Looking For:**

- **Teaching Skills**: Ability to teach **sport, self-defense, or martial arts**.
- **Gender Requirement**: Female applicants only (due to the nature of our work).
- **Personal Attributes**: Adaptable, well-organized, able to work independently, and at least 22 years old.
- **Experience**: Prior experience working with displaced communities or minorities is preferred.
- **Availability**:
- Commitment of at least **24 hours per week**.

Able to be on the ground in **Athens for a minimum of 6 weeks**.

**Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required):**

- Media management.
- Grant writing.
- Networking and community outreach.
- Monitoring and Evaluation.

- This is an **unpaid volunteer position**.
- Applicants must be self-sufficient and able to cover their own expenses during the volunteering period.
